Enkele tips ivm het gebruik van de kaarsen:
Laat kaarsen nooit branden als je ze niet kunt zien en let erop dat ze op een stabiele stevige ondergrond staan. Hou er rekening mee dat kaarsen in blik warm worden en dus op een plek moeten staan die daartegen bestand is. Laat nooit kaarsen branden waar kinderen of dieren bij kunnen. Houd kaarsen verwijderd van tocht en alles wat vlam kan vatten. Houd de lont kort en laat geen brandbaar materiaal in het kaarsvet vallen, zoals stukje lucifer of lont. Laat de kaarsen niet langer dan 3 uur achter elkaar branden.
